Mackrides was selected 26th overall by the Bayhawks in the 2012 MLL Collegiate Draft. He has steadily become one of the biggest contributors on the Bayhawks offense, and has recorded 80 points in four seasons.
Mackrides played college lacrosse at Penn State University, where he was a four-year starter. He recorded 101 goals and 43 assists, totaling 144 points, and added 134 ground balls in 54 games. He was also named ECAC Preseason Rookie of the Year, and 3 time First Team All-CAA.
Mackrides attended Malvern Prep, where he was named 3 time All-State, 2 time All-American, and EPSLA Player of the Year. He also led Malvern to a State Title, and helped the USA U-19 team to a World Championship.
Mackrides was born on February 24, 1990, to Michael and Donna Mackrides. He graduated from Penn State University in 2012 with a degree in Communication Arts and Sciences.
