Megill was acquired by the Bayhawks in September of 2013 from Denver, for midfielder Dom Sebastiani and the 8th overall pick in the 2014 MLL Collegiate Draft.
Megill was drafted 7th overall by the Denver Outlaws in the 2013 MLL Collegiate Draft. He had an impressive rookie season with the Outlaws, playing in 9 games and recording 26 ground balls.
Megill was a four-year starter and defensive stud at Syracuse University. He was a two-time USILA All-American and three-time All-BIG EAST honoree. He finished his college career with 190 ground balls and 103 caused turnovers, good for best in school history.
Megill was a four sport standout at Arthur L. Johnson High School in New Jersey, where he played lacrosse, football, basketball, and ran track. His senior year, he recorded 130 ground balls, scored 13 goals, and added 8 assists for a total of 21 points. He was a U.S Lacrosse All-American, All-State and All-Conference honoree, and was selected to play in the New Jersey North South Game.
Megill was born in December of 1990, to Raymond and Joanne Megill in Summit, NJ. He graduated from Syracuse University in 2013 with a degree in Accounting. His older brother, Ray, is a former Bayhawks and MLL veteran. During the week, Brian works as an Assistant Account Executive at Stone Street Capital in Bethesda, MD, and is also the Co-Owner of Performance Lacrosse Training with his brother Ray.
