Pro Experience (Chesapeake Bayhawks) Danny was drafted 5th overall by the Bayhawks in the 2009 MLL Collegiate Draft. He has played in 21 games for the Bayhawks recording 21 goals and 24 assists totaling 45 points, and adding 15 ground balls. He was also named Cascade Rookie of the Week in 2009. College Danny played college lacrosse at the University of Virginia where he won an NCAA championship in 2006. He was listed as the nation's top freshman by Inside Lacrosse, won ACC Rookie of the Year, was on the Inside Lacrosse All-Freshman team, and was the only freshman in the country to score 20 goals and 20 assists. He was also named USILA 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Team All-American. He was Lacrosse Magazine's Preseason Player of the Year, and was selected to the ACC All-Academic Team. High School Danny attended Georgetown Prep High School, where he lettered in lacrosse, basketball, and soccer. He was a four year starter in lacrosse, where he was 3 time 1st Team All-League and All-State, 2 time All-Metro, 1st Team All-American, and Montgomery County Player of the Year. Danny also won a league championship, and set the school record for points (274) and assists (156). Personal Danny was born on December 17th, 1986 in Bethesda Md, to Bill and Cissy Gladding. He graduated from the University of Virginia in 2009 with a degree in Economics. |
