Neal was selected by the Bayhawks with the 133rd overall pick in the 2011 MLL Supplemental Draft.
Hicks played college lacrosse at the University of Notre Dame. He was an All-GWLL selection, and recorded 61 goals and 39 assists totaling 100 points, and added 72 ground balls in 61 games with the Fighting Irish.
Neal was a four-time letter winner at the Lovett School in Atlanta Georgia. He led the team to two state championships, and was a three-time All-State selection, and two-time All-American selection. He finished his career at Lovett with 187 goals and 103 assists totaling 290 points.
Neal was born on July 3, 1988 to Bill and Anne Hicks in Cambridge Massachusetts. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2010 with a degree in Management Entrepreneurship.
