HUNT NAMED MLL OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Annapolis, MD - Midfielder Ben Hunt was named Major League Lacrosse’s (MLL) Offensive Player of the Week for Week 4 of the 2011 Season.

Hunt, a third-year player out of University of North Carolina, had a huge game on Saturday against the Outlaws. He scored five goals – one of which was a 2-pointer – and tallied three assists to total a career-high nine points which also earned him the Bud Light Most Valuable Player of the Game.

"It is an honor to be named Offensive Player of the Week with so many talented players in this league” Hunt stated.  “I am very proud of my team and how we never quit throughout the game and were able to have an exciting comeback win against a very good Denver team."

“When Ben Hunt gets hot, he is as good as any player in the league,” assistant coach and president, Dave Cottle said. “He has gone through periods of greatness and this was one of them. He got off to a great start and kept it going the entire time and his performance was absolutely outstanding.”

The Bayhawks take on the Long Island Lizards next at James M. Shuart Stadium on June 16^th. The game can be viewed LIVE on ESPN3.com at 7:30pm.
