TRAINING CAMP BEGINS FRIDAY

ANNAPOLIS, MD - The Chesapeake Bayhawks of Major League Lacrosse (MLL) will kick off their 2012 training camp Friday, April 6^th at Anne Arundel Community College (AACC) in Arnold, MD according to general manager Brian Reese. The final session will culminate in a scrimmage versus the Denver Outlaws on Saturday, April 21^st at 7pm at AACC. All sessions and the pre-season scrimmage will be open to the public for autographs and chances to meet the players.

 

“The goal of the first weekend of training camp will be to get a better feel for our players,” head coach Dave Cottle said. “We will need to figure out our players’ strengths and find out which players complement each other.”

 

The Bayhawks will begin training camp with 40 players on their roster and will scale that down to 25 by the end. For the first weekend the team will conduct practice on Friday night and hold an intra squad scrimmage on Saturday, April 7^th at 1pm at Allan Pond Park in Bowie, MD.

 

“We should see some great competition in our training camp this year,” Reese stated. “Our returners should be pushed by some talented new players. We will be competing hard against each other while building chemistry at the same time.”
