Attackman’s Efforts Lead Bayhawks to Clinch 2nd Place Standings

Danny Glading was named Major League Lacrosse’s Offensive Player of the Week for Week 8 of the 2011 season. On Saturday, July 16
th, the Chesapeake Bayhawks came from behind in an exciting rally to beat the Hamilton Nationals, 12-11 in overtime, at Ron Joyce Stadium in Canada.
“Danny Glading has been an asset to our team offensively through his incredible skill and leadership abilities,” head coach and owner
Brendan Kelly said. “He has a way of staying calm and collected while finding the open shot or the open teammate to grab the assist.”
Glading led the way offensively during the game with two goals and two assists for Chesapeake (5-3), which rallied from a pair of three-goal deficits during the game. His 4 totaled points and overall offensive leadership earned him the Offensive Player of the Week honors.
The Bayhawks return home this Saturday, July 23
rd to battle the Long Island Lizards at 7pm. The Bayhawks will be wearing pink helmets in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Night and they will be autographed and auctioned off after the game. Proceeds will benefit Save the Coconuts Foundation and the game will be live on Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic. Come early to enjoy the pre-game clinic presented by Cascade which includes the chance to win an official Bayhawks helmet. Also, the Bud Light Tailgate Zone is open to all fans before each home game including LIVE music and Bud Light specials.
