Week 9 Preview

March 18, 2016
The Chesapeake Bayhawks take on the Hamilton Nationals for the second time this season. The two teams will face-off at Ron Joyce Stadium in Hamilton, Ontario on Saturday, June 29 that 7:00 pm.

The Bayhawks had a devastating overtime loss to the Nationals on June 1 stby a final score of 11-12 at Navy-Marine Corps Stadium. Coming off of consecutive losses to Charlotte and Denver, Chesapeake needs to regain momentum to keep their play-off hopes alive.

Keeping the hot streak alive for John Grant, Jr and Drew Westervelt will be a key component in the Bayhawks offense against Hamilton. Both Grant and Westervelt produced hat tricks against Charlotte, while midfielder Michael Kimmel tallied two 2-point goals. Adding to the all-star caliber offense, the Bayhawks have a league leading 8 players in the 2013 Major League Lacrosse All Star game.

With only 6 games remaining in the season, Chesapeake looks to take sole control of 3 rdplace in the league with a win over Hamilton. As there are only 4 spots in the play-offs, these last games are vital for the Bayhawks. An away win for Chesapeake could be exactly what they need to go into championship weekend strong.
